What we collect

When you send the project form, we collect your name, email address, message and any phone number you choose to give.

Our web server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested page and request time. We use this to keep the website secure and fix faults.

How we use it

We use your enquiry to answer you, discuss your project and provide a quote when you ask for one. We take these steps at your request before a possible contract. We also have a legitimate interest: to answer enquiries and to protect the website.

We do not sell your information. We do not use this website for marketing profiles.

Spam protection

Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person sends the form. Cloudflare receives technical information about the request and your interaction with the check. The form makes a secret code from your IP network address. It uses this code to limit how many messages one connection can send. We delete these records within about two hours.

Cookies and browser storage

The project form uses an essential security cookie named __Host-gjm_csrf. It holds a random code that protects the form from cross-site request forgery. The cookie is Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. It expires when you close your browser. The server does not store your form details after an error.

If the form returns an error, your browser keeps the fields in session storage. This means you do not need to type them again. When the form sends your enquiry, it deletes this copy. When you close the tab, it also deletes it.

This website does not use analytics or advertising cookies.

Storage and sharing

MangyByte provides the website hosting and technical service. Cloudflare provides security and content delivery. It processes all website traffic. Your enquiry goes to the GJM Construction info mailbox. Migadu provides that mailbox and processes the message to deliver and store it.

We keep web server security logs for up to about 53 days. We keep PHP error logs for up to about 15 days. We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to respond and manage any work that follows. We may keep records longer when the law requires it or when a legal claim needs them.

Cloudflare and Migadu can process information in other countries. Their privacy terms say how they protect data sent to other countries. Read Migadu's privacy policy.

Your choices and rights

You can ask for a copy of your personal data. You can ask us to correct or delete it. You can also object to or restrict some uses. Email us to make a request.

You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Please contact us first so we can try to help.
